Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, served hot

out of the AGA.


Delicious freshly baked Scones with lashings of Devonshire Clotted Cream and Rose Tree Cottage’s own label preserves.


A selection of delicious desserts which might include our own Shortbread, Sticky Toffee Pudding (the original recipe), Hot Apple Pie or Petit Fours and pastries



Afternoon Tea is served

Tuesday through Sunday at 3 seatings, each precisely at:

1:00, 2:30 and 4:00

Reservations are only taken by telephone

no more than one week in advance

We advise you to call at 10:00 a.m. the week previous. Groups of 9 (nine) or more are considered a 'private party' — such reservations are taken up to (and no more than)

one month in advance.



Tea is served in our main indoor tea rooms at your own table which is surrounded by lovely items from Britain and a lovely garden setting,


With the sound of clinking bone china cups and saucers; the fragrance of freshly baked hot scones; the aroma of fresh roses and the soft dulcet tones of ‘Tea Time’ music - close your eyes - and you will think you’re in another time and place far, far away from the noise and hustle and bustle of modern day living. All this and more, plus the pleasure of having your tea served to you on the finest Royal Crown Derby and Royal Doulton Bone China.

A festive round of annual Special Event Teas which celebrate Mother's Day; Valentine's Day; Easter; Father’s Day; the Official Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and two of our most popular Special Event Teas, those that celebrate Christmas (English style) and New Year’s Eve.


Special Event Tea reservations taken by telephone (call 626-793-3337 from 10:00am onwards) no more than one week in advance of the event. We recommend telephoning as soon after 10:00am as possible

The Rose Tree Cottage’s African Children’s Foundation ‘Bloom Where Planted, now firmly established, enables us to provide much needed assistance, both practical and financial, to help maintain the school buildings; provide materials, and, most importantly, support and improve the education of the many dear children who attend Rose Tree Cottage’s adopted school in Kenya.
