Come touring with us . . .

While the Rose Tree Cottage Tea Room and Shop is an escape to "another world", we also offer tours to Britain and beyond! We would love to have you join us on our excursions and know you will enjoy the companionship of your fellow travelers (small groups, we hasten to add) as well as meeting local people, seeing the sights and of course, having tea in the lands we take you to.

Our first group tour to Britain was 24 years ago and now, we are offering tours to other countries beyond the British Isles - such as Kenya, Rwanda, Ireland and France. In each of these countries, we will still find our own 'style' and British interests. During our fascinating photo safaris in Africa, we occasionally visit tea plantations, have a taste of old 'Colonial' life on our visits to houses (such as Karen Blixen's home, Longonot Ranch House and Giraffe Manor) and frequently "take tea".

Also, we believe in "giving back" on our travels in Africa. On behalf of our African Children's Foundation, 'Bloom where Planted', we will visit the Kenyan primary school we adopted in 2003 to see the progress there; and when our excursion takes us to Rwanda, we will also visit the Orphans Centre we are working with in Kigali. It is so rewarding be a part of improving their environment and welfare. The smiles received will more than repay us! (For more information on our Charitable Foundation, please visit http://bloomwhereplanted.org

As for the wildlife, we also visit our adopted orphaned 'ellies' and rhinos at the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage outside Nairobi. They too are a delight and will entertain us with their antics.

We have had wonderful, memorable trips to Britain and beyond and look forward to this years' tours as well! If you would like us to send you any of these itineraries, please drop us a line at RoseTreeCo@aol.com. Thank you.
